This year I have a couple of projects I am working on. The first project is myself. I need to lose weight. I have been brushing my hair and putting on Make-up everyday. Just some little self-esteem boosters. What have I done so far for weight loss? Oh, I worked very hard to e-mail the husband some things to print out for me. Hard work, I tell you. Tips and stuff. Having them printed out and sitting on your night stand is half of the battle! Within this same project (myself), I want to become a nicer person. Sounds kind of generic, but my middle finger is getting buff from overuse. In my defense...these people around here seriously need to know how to drive. Since when is it OK to pass people on the shoulder of the highway? And just yesterday I was sitting in the middle turn lane (you know, the one where both directions can use it as a turn lane?) and some car pulls out in front of me (making a left turn) into the turn lane. Um, I was sitting there! To say the least she starts cussing me out, (windows were open, it was warm), and she pulls into oncoming traffic to go around me. So I smiled politely and let my middle finger get some exercise. To the best of my knowledge, the person making the left turn onto the road needs to yield to those already sitting in the turn lane, yes? ::shrug:: Anyway...you can see that my middle finger needs to get a little lazy and not be so buff. It's not like it's trying to get ready for bikini season or anything.
My next project is pretty simple: de-clutter. I'm taking the first step tomorrow by putting out a bunch of clothes for donation. It's a very important step for me. Alexia's baby clothes are going bye-bye. ::sob:: I just have to accept that she won't be fitting into those 3-6 month sized clothes anymore. This project will be on-going for the year. I started out pretty well. On Christmas Eve I sent three boxes of baby toys home with my Aunt. Her Granddaughter is frequently there/living there with her baby boy, so I figured they could use them.
The third project is a little scary for me. I finally got tired of our ugly bathrooms. So one by one, I am changing them. The kids bathroom is first. For whatever reason the previous owner did not put a primer on the wall before he painted. So I have brown water stains on my wall. Yuck! So right now I have the first coat of primer on there. I will be putting on the second coat shortly after the kids go to bed. I will be sure to post before and after pictures.
Over the next couple weeks I will be doing an update on each of the children again. I might even get around to posting pictures this time. I'm very bad at that.
